Anyone have any info on riding up in Forest (near Downieville, CA)? Trails have been built/reopened
for the last few years, and we're thinking of checking it out this weekend.
Thanks in advance for any tips, Tom

Hey Tom, did you ride Forest City? If so, what is it like. We're planning on checking it out for a weekend.

Skip it and head an additinal 30 minutes northeat and ride in the Lakes Basin area.

We didn't end up riding there. I guided our group out to Mt. Elwell in the Lakes Basin instead, did
the Deer Lake descent twice (check a topo), and did Pauley Creek/2nd Divide. But I've ridden a lot
in the Lakes and Divides and was looking for something new, so I still plan to get up there - let us
know how it is if you go.

Sound advice, I'd say, but have you ridden in Forest, Pete? Is it boring aquaduct trails or what?
Also, there will apparently be gatherings in Forest the next two weekends to do trail work and ride
and prepare for the October 4 event up there: bonc.orgrides fc metric.htmOpen ↗
Enjoy! Tom
