Hi,
I have a daughter who would like to do some at home training for her
ROTC competitions as well as the upcoming soccer season. She is 14 and
weighs a little over 100 lbs so I thought a PowerBlock kit of some
variety and a Swiss Ball would be two things to get started with.
Although I can see the basic sense behind the PowerBlock lines I am not
sure I fully understand the expansion capabilities for the various
models (i.e. some can be utilized with a barbell, others can fit inside
add-on kits to increase total per dumbbell weight). The two models that
seem to be a best fit are the Personal Trainer and SportBlock (
http://www.powerblock.com/blocks.html ) simply because they have a
finer weight increment of 2.5 and 3.0 lbs.
We will go to a local PowerBlock outlet eventually but I am hoping to
be informed a little better to make sure we end up with the best fit
for our situation. By the way, I know of these following stores here in
Los Angeles metro area; Busy Body, L.A. Gym Equipment, and The Fitness
Store. Are these as good a place as any to get some personalized
attention and a good price?
Maybe our concept of training at home is a bit off so feel free to give
advice in this area if you have any.
Thanks for the help, Steve.
