  1. I'm looking to upgrade from my [censored] Pro Deluxe to a Vanilla RC. I measured my shocks length and from
center of the bottom eye to the center of the upper eye is exactly 7.5 inches. The shortest shock I
can find is 7.875". Am I measuring correctly or is from end of the eye to end of the eye? Also would
these few differences in measurements make a significant difference? I had found a beautiful used
Vanilla with big hit valving for a killer deal but it was a 8.5" long. Hated that!!

You are right, it's center to center. You should contact Fox Racing Shox and see if they can help
you out. 7.5" doesn't sound like a strange size. If you have a single pivot bike you may want to
consider a Progressive or Manitou Swinger shock.

Not just a single pivot - I had the opportunity to ride some DH bikes (just around the flat, and a
little bit of fooling around on my friend's M1 w/ 5th ti spring and shiver dc!), and the shocks,
even when not tuned for me, made a surprising difference.
