A quiet Sunday morning at the gym. When it opened some [censored] pushed
passed me in the doorway while her male partner was polite and said to
me "after you". They were both new to the gym afaik. About 20 minutes
into the session I heard a raised voice on the other side of the weight
room and saw it was her talking to an friend of mine. I assumed they
knew each other and it must be a joke. I was wrong. She was abusing my
friend (a normally placid guy) saying "anytime, don't push me I can take
you any time, just keep it up and look out".
Now I assumed she was expecting her male training partner to somehow do
something. My friend is 40 years old has been lifting 17 years and used
to be a boxer. He is maybe 6' 3 and about 110-115 kg, little body fat.
Strong as an Ox. Her male partner, while not small, was not as well
built. Nor I assume an ex boxer.
Anyhow, it seemed to cool but my friend was pacing between sets and
getting worked up. When the obnoxious [censored] left (with partner) he
followed them into the car park and let fly at her (verbally). I guess
he didn't want any confrontation on the premises. She was abusive to him
again at first but soon realized this guy was not going to walk away
until he said his piece. She then tried to enlist the support of her
male friend who quite wisely was beginning to apologize on her behalf
which made her even madder. My friend then said to her "What an idiot,
you create trouble, invite me to become aggressive with you, tell me I
had better be careful then even try and enlist the help of your partner
who wimps out". Then he walked away. I really felt sorry for the male
partner but at least he has the sense to back right off.
