I had some red Zoomers in a size F and they were--let's just say "difficult"--to use. I had to struggle to even get them on. Standing in the pool, struggling and yanking; well, it did warm me up! Someone here suggested I should have bought blue ones in size G, so I ordered them and received them 2 days ago. Ah! At last I can get them on without pain!
However, there was no mention of using duct tape. I have 2 sites on each foot where I will definitely have to tape before trying them again. The pain of the broken blisters has been interesting. As for the Zoomers themselves, I noticed they make my back arch more. I could actually feel the area stretch as I was swimming. I am eager to try more than 1/2 mile with them on, but I have to let the skin heal a bit first.
Strange as it may sound, I am interested in seeing an improvement in my hamstrings. As a cyclist, I would like to have these muscles improved. I still have a question, though: is it possible or advisable to try the flip turn with Zoomers on?

I have a red pair of zoomers and will not wear them anymore. The rubber edge on the front of the boot makes nice big blisters/cuts. Socks help some but my solution was to replace them with Tyr Split Fins. The Split fins have softer rubber and no problems on the feet for my size 13s. They seem comparable in propulsion/effort to the zoomers but alot smoother. When I do kicking drills (flutter and dolphin kick 1000 to 1500 yards), my thighs seem to get a good burn but not much the hammies.
After 6 months of using them, I almost enjoy 500yds of dolphin kick on my back w/o kick board!
