Still L'Equipe's story. And Cyclingnews is handling it with caution.

'French newspaper l'Equipe alleged over the weekend that an IRMS test
indicated exogenous testosterone in Floyd Landis' sample"

And well they should handle it with caution.

Landis's lawyers have already said results of the IRMS test cannot be
used because the results where not reported to the UCI before being
released to the press. The lab results are meaningless.

It is time to stomp out lab cheats.

It is time to stomp out media cheats.

Let's see. Lab cheats, media cheats. I guess that should cover it.

  2. I just woke up and the thing that came to mind was:

    'Hogamous, higamous;
    Floyd's is exogenous.
    Higamous, hogamous;
    Lance's is endogenous.'

    to paraphrase William James.

The lab leaks results that are supposed to be confidential and released
through official channels. The leaking of the results speaks for
itself, the lab is untrustworthy. Why should anything it does be
    trusted?

It is easy to believe that someone within the lab profited from leaking
the results to L'Equipe. I don't know what Landis did or didn't do but
I hope he gets off. This kind of corruption from the institutions
charged with doping controls is just as bad as the doping itself.

Here's a far fetched idea. Maybe the lawyer read the Equipe. In fact, even
if he didn't read l'Equipe, a good lawyer would start attacking the IRMS
test reliability on the assumption that even if the test is done, they might
eventually need to attack it if it gives results that are not in Landis's
    favor.

I remind you that in Floyd's press conference (after ther L'Equipe reported
it), he said he was not aware if a test for exogenous testosterone had been
done. I would doubt that Floyd would not know, but his lawyer would.

    He's lying.

    Source ?

No, my friend, it seems he said"because the french lab is the last one doing
IRMS." (It is in one Saturday's message)
According to him "No others Lab in the world to it anymore due the lack of
credibility of the test." (Even the Gatlin's lab ?)
I was told he looking for the Gatlin's phone

    The lab results are meaningless.

would you be so smug if the "leak" indicated he were clean ?
of course you would - you are pure.

You're ridiculous to even suggest it. We wouldn't be having this
conversation if a positive result on the A sample had not been
produced, and therefore no one would be leaking anything. The converse
is not so ridiculous though: without a positive result no one in the
lab has anything of value to leak.

The leaking of results is corrupt. It harms the rider for whom the
process is still incomplete, and shows the lab to be untrustworthy. A
"pure" process cannot be produced from a corrupt lab.

But since you bring it up, how do we know that there have never been
samples declared clean that should have been positive? We don't. The
lab has shown itself to be corrupt and everything it produces is
suspect. Kinda reminds me of the pro peloton.

Isn't that in itself a logical contradiction? How can a thing be both
well written and lacking in logic?

No. It would depend on what you meant by well-written. You could do a
Pynchon and have all the lit majors and sophomores of the world
discuss it as if only they understood the logic. You can make a living
on sophomores that like to carry thick paperback books to impress the
    freshmen.

Unfortunately, in my case it didn't work. She was a physics major, so
I had to buy a bigger slide rule instead.

Sure. I can also say dumbass metaphor. "Stoned out of his head on

I see. He's been officially notified by USAC or UCI that an IRMS test has
been done and it showed exo tes. He then goes and publicly announces that he
has no knowledge of such a test having been run. As Costner said in JFK.
"We're through the looking glass here people." What's Floyd's next move?
Have everyone at USAC/UCI/WADA/PHONAK/... "silenced" so they don't put the
lie to this carefully crafted persona he's constructed?

No just keep on lying now that his little delaying tactics have failed
after the UCI sped up the process, would you believe that, the UCI
doing something agains dopers, it must really be serious this time.

"sped up the process"? You mean after they ignored their own regulations and
ordered tests that were supposed to be requested by the rider?

It appears a bit odd to me that you believe that running around the rules
and regulations is OK in some circumstances but not in others.

What delaying tactic? You keep talking about that but he still had plenty of
    time to present his request.
