Heck, I've had stupid good luck shopping their recent sales on new
stoff. I got a set of their house branded Tektro standard reach brakes
for $20 for the singlespeed. The finish could be nicer, but for $20,
they stop brilliantly. Stock pads are ugly, but effective. Also got 5
of the Prima 2 tires for $4 each, then found out that my bud that I was
getting a set for had 27" wheels on that particular bike, so I flogged
two on craigslist pinned to the current Nashbar price...and my net
price on three ended up being $0.66 each. :-D

I've got 500 miles with no issues on this set, and my last pair of
Prima Pluses got only a single flat before they wore out. Sometimes you
get more than you pay for. It's funny, of all the tires I've run:
Hutchinson, WTB, Michelin, and Conti---the tires with the most
consistent durability and ease of mounting have been Nashbar and
Performance house brands. Who wouldda thunk it? :-P

not of their own branding. Both Primas have a few decorative grooves,
but are basically slick where it matters. They're extremely unexciting
tires. In a good way.
