This NG has gotten so nasty in the last year. Ten years ago, we just
huffed about Jobst, and he huffed back -- maybe a gratuitous attack on
Tom Kunich for reasons that were never clear to me. But even those
were tame by current standards. The JPoulos "no helmet day" tirades

Wrong, THIS NG is UK.rec.cycling and has always discussed UK related
cycling amtters along with a few other things including helmets for as
long as I care to remember (my first post was in 1994). We don't mind
the occaisonal cross post from RBT, but keep the insults and mud
slinging to that NG, not this one.

I'm surely part of the "problem" but have appealled to Ozark and Sorni
to try at least to keep it confined to just one or at most a few
threads. But it keeps spilling out -- they don't seem to care and one
of them mocked my suggestion of keeping it confined by saying I'd
written too many words.

I won't start it up in new threads (or non-helment threads), but once
it starts in other places, I will respond.
