That trail looks like it would be fun . . at about double the speed of
    that footage.

Seriously though, what was on the ground for either of those wipeouts?
IMO, it must have been the Linkin Suck in the background that took them
    down.

I second you on the Linkin Park stuff. Ugh.... It's okay to like them
if you're under 15 years old. Or if you're really blind. Otherwise, you
really need to graduate to Black Flag.

    Anyway, nice footage.

Not my taste in music either but.....not to anyone specific here....
It only takes but a second to mute the video.
Amazing what technology can do if one chooses to use it.

Gary (learned a long time ago to just mute RAL's videos before viewing)

What do you listen to? I've never asked you what your taste in music was.

More newwave than punk, but anyway remember it was 1984 in a tiny

Those trails are WAY steeper than the video makes them appear. Not many
riders went down Larison Rock faster than that (without a good auger).
The Alpine Trail across the valley in Oakridge was a virtual slide down
with short recoveries of downhill in between.

I stand by the comment about Linkin Suck.

There is always someone who will not like the music I choose. Keep in
mind the reason I do these videos. All though you may think it is to
post here, the main reason is for my own personal archive. I am always
going back through my videos to see where I've been, what I've done, and
how I've improved. I do like when people watch them and even comment,
but if they didn't it wouldn't change why I do it.

I don't like every tune I use, and Linkin Park is certainly not in my
top 100 listing. I try to choose music that flows with the ride.
There's really not a thought about whether it's a favorite or not.

Shaddap you geek. You are out here trying to be judged as "cool" cuz
you have no friends and lack confidence. Don't give me that [censored] about
doing it for your own personal archive. You obviously are trying to
push your data onto us so it's not for your own personal archive.

    YOU GEEK!!

Oh, and let's not forget I have 5 pounds of protruding electronics on my
head. Half of which is bolted into the helmet which I am sure effects
structural integrity of the only thing protecting my noggin.

Now that I think about it, I must be friggin' insane.

Not trying to be Xtremely judgmental but
that's a cop out about the cam weight, family
    to support, etc.

To my eye, the riding seemed pretty slow and
cautious and the video, being simply an
endless stream of helmetcam footage of
unchanging terrain was not very engaging.

    It's a video that I think appeals to a
limited audience. Perhaps the people that
shared the ride with you and for your
    "archive" as you have noted.

As long as you're having fun that's great.
Expecting other folks to share the same
amount of stoke, based on that footage, is
    reaching.

Nice, someone other than me speaks the truth. Ride-A-Lot doesn't want
to increase his skill set, yet he trys to take shots at me as well as
being a stooge puppet for a deranged female who wants to use others to
    take shots at me.

The truth of the matter is Ride-A-Lot is soliciting us on the net to
find him a cool dude by his awesome impressive MTBing, except his
MTBing isn't awesome and isn't impressive.

    Oh well...!!

I don't listen to much of anything. To me music becomes noise after about
20 minutes of listening to any of it. Probably too many years of listening
to power saws w/o ear protection.

What's upsetting to me is that I am paying Denver city taxes so that
this homeless mental patient can use the computers in the community
college and eat for free. Meanwhile, students who are paying for the
credits they are taking are having to wait to use the computer.

Looks like it's time to stop by there after work today and post a

    Dude, STOP.

I don't want to sit there and watch a video with no sound, when the
makers of the video instead of pushing their music tastes onto me could
have just simply let the sound of their riding be the sound of the
video of which a deeper connection can be related between us who watch
it to them on the trail.

Adding music is a separating layer that pushes you back from being
connected to the authenticity of their experience. I'd rather hear them
talk and relate with each other about the trail than get zapped by
    their music preferences.

Perhaps if you had hired some strippers to ride in front of you, this
    might be interesting.

Funny you mention hot women. I've seen some fine ass women riding
Dakota Ridge and that's the worst meanest life threatening trail in
Colorado, even compared to most if not all on the western slope. It's
worse than horsethief ranch (according to people who've done them
    both).

These girls that did it were like super models and quite a sexual
spark. I couldn't believe what I was seeing when I saw them ride off
the trail (clearly they just rode it).

They make Ride-A-Lot a shame and they were girls you'd never expect to
see on MTBs, much less the meanest trail available for MTBing. I asked
them about their abilitys they said they did it no problem, and do Deer
Creek Canyon and "The Wall" no problem.
They should be on Vogue, and Maxim, that's how fine they were.

They make Ride-A-Lot a joke. He's too feminin. Had he not mouthed off
to me, I'd never be picking on him.

And it's also a good setup for me putting a restraining order on
Virginia Newbon which is likely to happen.

So beware my fatty boy, you know not what you do, out of an attempt to
make yourself feel like you trumped me, you are going to self-destruct
    boy.

Are you eating right now Ridey? How often do you eat? You really do
look overweight. Is your weight a factor of why you don't want to ride
technical sections in that you'll kill yourself by falling on yourself?

Are you mad at me that you allow others to use you as a medium to play
through, of which you feel valid that they wanted to use you? You feel
    important?

So you're a feminin man (woman spirit), who needs external validation
by pushing your website and your lame ass boring videos onto the
internet community, you can't value yourself so you need others to do
    it for you.

Ridey, if you put your videos up on YouTube, you're going to be made a
laughing stock. Aside from the group of people you have playing through
you that fake their friendship to you in order to use you of which if
you put your videos up on YouTube they'll rate it high to continue the
falsity of your confidence, but overall most are going to rate your
videos 1 star or 2 stars at most. In fact you'll be lucky if anyone
    watches them.

Ridey, no matter what you do pertinent to me, no matter what shots you
take by your commander Virginia Newbon, you're going to always be a
limp presence in MTBing. You're never going to be popular. The people
that have befriended you since I started responding to your posts are
only doing it to get at me with a shield to hide their presence, and
that requires them faking their friendship to you.

This is the way sick females such as Virginia Newbon works. She is a
very sick person, but much to the same as you. "EXTERNAL VALIDATION" is
    her life entirely.

Set me up baby!! Restraining order for her and you!!

"The trees and rocks at the edge of your vision are blurred due to
speed. In fact, many times you are able to pick out peripheral detail in
the video footage that you completely missed because your focus is down
    the trail. "

This post of yours implies that blurring in person occurs less in video.

    That's your erroneous interpretation.

There is blurring in video footage.

Despite that, you can still pick out
peripheral detail when you review the footage
since your focus when riding is typically
directly ahead of you. So when you review the
footage you see detail that you missed in
person (that pointy rock just downslope, that
Y-shaped tree at the forest fringe, etc.).

Next time, use a crayon. He just might get it.
