1. Anyone else been stuck indoors all weekend from this rain? I've been dying to ride but it's pouring out here today.

It was raining when I woke up this morning, but now the sun seems to be coming out... I have to go out in a few minutes, but I hope to get in about 20-30 miles when I get back before the skies open up again....

It does seem different though, because on weekends I usually ride first thing in the morning and when I ride in the afternoon or later at night it seems like a totally different ride.

Wow! we've had the most gorious weather in a long time, over this weekend,on our night ride last night the sky turned a majical red and the chase down the berg was pleasently warm,if it wasn't for the damn puncture it would have been a near perfect ride.

Yeah, but I went riding anyways and I think im sick because of it.

5. That's why I'm looking into getting a Cycling Trainer!

I live in Vegas and as you all know....IT GETS HOT!!

This time of year makes it impossible (for me at least) to ride during the day unless you get up really early (which I don't). Going riding at night here is risky because of the crazy drivers and gravel that is on the roads!

I know what you're saying Jedi about riding at night!

Even in the winter it gets pretty cold here but it is rideable with the proper clothing.

And of course on those rainy days, a trainer is a great investment. Just to get those daily rides in!

The more I think about it......I'm getting a trainer ASAP!!😄

6. if you dont want any of your "damn rain" then send it down here (East Coast Australia) as we are in an awful drought and would be more than happy to take all your excess water off your hands. 😄

7. Much as I despise the rain(especially as my other main interest is astronomy),it's these godforesaken head winds that really p*** me off.I went out this morning, with the intention of doing at least 20 miles and returned home after doing less than 7,I just had a complete guts full!
It looks like that's the way the weather is mostly going to be from now on,so I may well get an excercise bike for these windy occasions and only use my bikes on better days.

8. It's been raining on and off here where I am at, and yeah, it drives me nuts. Eventually I am just going to ride in it because I need to get the miles in. I am constantly watching the weather channel and logging onto weather.com just to watch the weather patterns. Last night I beat the rain home.

Greetings from the light side of the moon. It has been hot in California for most of the summer so morning and evening rides mostly for me this year.

My wife and I traveled to San Jose(CA) this weekend and we passed Mt. Diablo as we traveled on the 680 through Concord and Walnut Creek. I was thinking to myself, I love riding but m-a-n I would hate to be on that hill going up one of the nasty grades right now - too hot.
I was wondering if that was DiabloScott on the top of the mountain waving at me... Laughing.

10. I've thrown the towel in for this week,no rain and lovely blue skies today, but bloody winds are well and truly p***ing me off😠

11. Tomorrow is supposed to be nice here in New Jersey. I can't wait to get back on the road! Then it's off to Sunny California and Mexico for surfing this Friday.

But it's a dry heat 😉

I am going for a ride later this afternoon. It is 96 degrees F and 52% RH (actually, not too bad for this time of year, but still a lot worse than Vegas, where it is currently 87 degrees and 15% RH).

No, Ernesto will not hit us until Friday. That is why I am going to ride while I can. I expect the weekend to be a washout - literally.

15. WHAT!

87 degrees? I'm pretty sure you were checking the weather early this morning!

It will be about 102-105 today:o

But I would take the dry & hot weather here than that horrible humid weather you others have to deal with!😄

I'm from Southern California originally, so I know what GREAT weather is like!

I'm jealous NickDavid!! Have fun hittin the swells!

Sometimes I just wonder.....Why did I choose Vegas? It surely wasn't to party😉
