1. What's a good type of chain lube if I'll be using the bike exclusively on a trainer for a couple of months?

I usually use white lightening on the road and it keeps everything clean, but I have to reapply every 100km or so as it doesn't last long. I don't want to keep relubing in the winter and shouldn't have too if the chain isn't picking up dirt from the road.

Thanks.

2. I used a nice wet lube as its not picking up dirt it works great.
Just keep the trainer off the persian carpet though.I usually put down a groundsheet to catch pesperation and oil drops.my stat.trainer is also on a tiled surface.
