spacing, use your present spacers and shifters.

You can..the crank and Ders don't care which shifters you use as long
as they are 'indexed', click shifter compatible ders and not worn out.

Everything, broken spokes, bent or snapped axles, on the last one, the cups
went through - seemed to be made out of somthing very soft. Can't find a
decent wheel with a screw on hub. I've been using cheep wheels though -
hence the move to cassettes.

Can I get these spacers at the local shop ? Are they expensive ?

I've been misinformed by the guy at the shop, he said clearly that the older
rear derailure would not work with the new set-up. I've also been trying to
get this stuff mail order in the UK, but the only stuff I can find is top of
the range. Anyone know where I can source parts avoiding the local
retailers.
