Dave Orenee had some Sapims cheap on E-bay. 72 DB spokes for $29
plus $9 shipping -- so $38. Still only $.53 spoke for a good DB
spoke and brass nipple. -- Jay Beattie.

Of course, it has been a damn long time since I've built wheels. Riding

They have 282, 290, and 292 on the next page. If 281 is what you want,
282 should work fine. Many sources stock in 2mm increments, but do
carry a few often-requested sizes in-between.

to have a better price yet, at about 7.00 US per pack, but their
Sales-O-Server(TM) seems to be down this morning. Can't tell if they
even have these spoke lengths in stock.

I'll cut you double-butted spokes for $0.45c each (Wheelsmith, DT,
Alpina or Sapim, depending on what I have in stock). If I have
straight 14 gauge in a suitable length, you can have those for $0.25c.
Shipping will be the actual cost.

I've bought my last several wheels' spokes (double-butted) from
Licktons -- www.lickbike.com. Don't know how they rank on straight
gauge, though.
