  1. everyone piked except Adam, Joan & I! Quite uneventful till a huge peleton of
morons passed us just passed Graceville, just where there are lots of
roundabouts to manoeuvre around - at least one crash that I heard (Adam had left
us by then, and Joan & I were just concentrating on staying on our bikes while
the loonies past by us close & fast without regard to their (or our) safety.

The River Loop's getting pretty crowded all of a sudden, time to think about a
new course maybe. lots of other pelotons out there today, but only the really
    big one was ill-behaved.

The funny thing is it was probably the "Gentlemen's Ride" - the Friday
bunch from LDV. Every day becomes the Worlds when the weather warms up
and the wannabes get back on their bikes.

For a quieter ride, check out the new Western Fwy Bikeway. Perhaps tie
it in with Fig Tree Pocket.

Just avoid the Wednesday Worlds at all costs.

Nah the friday LDV ride passed us along Coro Dve when I stopped for a red and they all blew through, unless K&J took a shortcut and it was the same bunch. I was late for work so I had to takeoff, I passed quite a few bunches 🙂 I haven't done the river loop for a while - didn't realise the bikeway up past the green bridge was gone.

  5. the bikeway past the green bridge is gone??

oh no, i guess this means i cant get burning legs on that twisty ascent through the cemetary... (or am i thinking of another path?)

oh yes you can, and now you have to start from the bottom and climb up the road all the way 🙂

There used to be a "bike" path up on the RHS of the road as
you approach the hill from the bottom, which cut out onto
the road after the first little bump.

Yesterday there was a "bike" path on the LHS of the road as
you approach the hill from the road at the bottom, which
spits you out on the road near the car park.

So today the road is open to cyclists? Hooray! No more fkn
    footpath.

No same deal as yesterday. I was just saying to Asterope
that you have to start at the bottom of the climb now.
I actually stayed on the path by mistake this morning and
had to curb jump down onto the road.

    great... thats even better :p

actually, that hill doesnt seem like as much of a b*tch to me now as it did when i first traversed it... just proving that repetition and perserverance pay off 😄
