I've just put on a new Chorous 9spd Casette and Campag Chain and I now feel an intermitent vibration/rumble up my right leg coming from the drivetrain when I pedel, depending on pressure.
The vibration is more pronounced in the small chain ring and is most evident when there is pressure (ie. not light spinning)applied however when I get out of the saddle I don't seem to notice it. It appears the chain is vibrating left-to-right which is causing the rumble/vibration but what is causing the chain to vibrate is anyones guess.
The bike stores here are a bit stumped so I thought I'd throw it out onto the forum to see if anyone else may know what the problem is.
Did the LBS check your small chainring for wear? If it's not wornout, perhaps the new chain may just be stiff in the sideplates. I'd lube it well, and go out and put some miles on it. Bet it will smooth out in a hundred miles...good luck.

Is it the correct chain for the drive train? Is there significant wear on the chain rings? Is the chain properly lubed? and links operation smooth? You may find some useful information on the subject on Sheldon Brown's web site at URL:
* Old drivetrain (daytona) had 12,000+ kms on it * Chain skipped one day so I put on a new Campy C9 chain * Started slipping on the casette badly so I put on a new Chorous 9spd casette * Started noticing the rumble/vibration * Thought the chain rings must be worn so I put a new 52/39 on as well - still got the rumble. * Took the cranks off and found the bottom bracket very dry and crunchy - replaced that as well with a new one. * Still got the rumble ... :-( * Funny thing is, the guy who runs the LBS has a new bike (200+kms) with a brand new centaur group set and has the same issue but no idea of what causes it. * We changed my chain to a new wipperman, still got the rumble. * He's called a few other stores here in Sydney but no luck. * Perhaps the previous reply to this post is right - it just needs to run in althought I'd be pretty unimpressed with Campy for such quality.

Slyck: You've certainly done everything to track this down; ruled out the chain. Sounds like the noise started when you installed the new Chorus cogset...maybe that's the culprit?
Only other thing I can think of is the jockey pulleys on the RD, or some other issue on the derailleur (eg, chain tension) . Maybe your LBS will let you swap RDs.

I suggest you take of the chain and run it over each segment of the drive train independently. It sounds like the chain is not interfacing well somewhere in the drive train. It could be any one or a combination of chain wheel, cog, and/or jockey wheels.
