hope you can help me out here. I've got about £400 to spend on a bike courtesy of my employers cycle to work scheme and have narrowed it down to 2 bikes.
I'm after a bike that will be ok on the road but also take a bit of canal towpath and light offroad work (I've got a Kona for anything more serious). ALso must be able to have a rack and guards fitted.
I've looked about and have come up with either the Trek 7300 or the Specialized Globe Elite, however I know absolutely nowt about hybrids, so - any comments or suggestions? Are the components comparable? Anything else I should look at first?
Good scheme btsoi. I assume a Kona is a MB, so use that for any off road riding. I would forget a hybrid, & go for a flat bar road bike instead, like a Specialized Sirrus, probably come with 28 tyres which will still handle a bit of gravel etc but will be much lighter than a typical hybrid. btw hylight my signature to see what I ride. Keep riding 🙂
