    Question: Fate of twisted-axle uni:

    - Keep to teach and lend out
    - Destroy it (and video process)
    - Other (please explain)

    I have a twisted axle on my cheap 20 inch uni. The cranks are
    noticeably out, but it is rideable. I can keep it to teach and lend to
    people, as long as the cranks don't severely hinder the learning
    process (I don't know). If they do, I think I will destroy it, and
    capture the process on video.

    Please post any destruction ideas in the above linked thread.

    just keep it and tell people it was your very first uni and you learned
    so much on it etc... and maybe you can help them learn.

    you also have to get the wheel laced... i don't know how much that
    costs... i can tell you after christmas (my LBS price anyways)

    Lacing isn't that hard. There are lots of guides online for it, with
    step by step guides, pictures included.

    Its a calm, relaxing, patient process, that is very rewording.

    You can save a lot of money by lacing and truing your own wheel. =p
