Well, got aerobars and full bar grip locations back from aero bar
repositioning. I rotated pads around to below wrists instead of
forearms (and elbows is impossible, hazardous, and lazy). Thick padded
support below wrists feel like fine support. This gave full low bar
grasp except one inch on either side of stem, best feel yet by far on
aerobars (abnormal stomach cramps are gone), Palmdown Monkey grip is
back (on elbow pads), and all positions on low bar are nonrestricted.
Those aerobar experts don't have a clue what they are talking about.
Its too complicated to rest forearms or elbows and maintain ergonomic
or chiropractic bicyling dynamic postures, for me and my bike any way:
which is very well fitted now :-) Well maybe after $1500+ of fitting
sessions, adapters, gidgets, shims, folding pad, lift kits, ... it
still won't be as good as this. This really feels great now on
aerobars, even combined with 40cm outside low bars and I have 48"
    shoulders. Never give up.

In fact it is not as tangled up of a feeling as pivoting/resting on
forearms or elbows. Instead of wanting to pivot aerobars up (and my
head dives down), now it feels better level or I may pivot aerobar down
since can maintain 90 degree elbows without static restrictions. Won't
need my aerobar lifts, or new adapter/adjustable stem/handlebars. The
shims and screws would have been close to $60 for the aerobar lift kit
and Syntace lift kit just cost net $12, lol. Yeah Baby!

    Questions:

    1. As you can see on first view, I have a few inches of raw AL on bars
to cover now. I've got handlebar tape and was wondering the best way
just to add on the ends about 4" on each side of stem. How's the best
way to continue the tape in the middle for now, just electric tape on
each end of what I add, including the other tape? I will change later,
so don't want complete retape now.

    2. Likewise on aero bar tape, I am putting my rachet shifters on Swift
Shift and it will attach to bar right in middle. For now while getting
every thing down and still have tape comfort, is there anyway to cut a
slice in the tape for the swift shift (a small hole on one side and
inside allen screw hold small Swift Shift clamp on from inside bar
    (Swift Shift picture below).

As many changes as I may be making in near future, one at a time, I
don't want to by $200 of tape and constantly be retaping every weekend.
Its real nice tape on it, and I've already got some decent tape for
mending now. Just wanted to know any preferred methods for these minor
intermediate step additions. I wear padded palm gloves so it may not be
a big deal on low bar, but aero bar will be holding up progress. I plan
to get Swift Shift mounted first and adjusted, and then add
cables/housing already got (except rear derailleur housing).

Then I can tape my aerobar. I won't retape my low bar until get brake
levers/cables/housing. Then I can keep it down to 4 tapes total for my
front end conversion from start, minus 2 already bought. Then to the
back end and touch up paint (some day), ...

    Thanks Guys!!

  2. Update from Saturday morning Post Office run. It felt great as thought
    when tested.

The stability in aerobar control comes from forces beyond forward of
handlebars axis, and I think the aerobar pivoted down may be called
for. Except I am putting more forces on aerobar, so the LBS did not put
the correct shims to adjust to 22.3mm old Raleigh bar. Century aerobar
comes with 26/31-8 plastic adapter shims and bike shop may have put
25.4/31/8 plastic adapter shims (they installed it for free).

Once I get that straightened out, may still need new low
bars/threadless converter/adjustable threadless stem in the future for
exact fit (won't know until try), but don't need it now. The palms down
Monkey grip is 500% better control from moving pad where forces are
    applied beyond handlebar axis.

Other than having a platform to hang lights, horns, etc.. on, the
aerobar would be worth it just for the palms down monkey grip alone:
especially now with improved control levels after unique aerobar
    behind-wrist adjustment.

Sometimes I wonder what specialized industry engineers do except make
things not fit anything else :-o
