Id say hoppley...its got a real solid crankset and 140mm cranks for
Trials Its also not to expensive.

DX is great but NOBODY has EVER bent Qu-Ax cranks. They are a bit long
though....🙄

I do. Qu-Ax unis are pretty good for the price. The standard trials is a
bit heavy but with shorter cranks and an aluminum frame that problem
can be solved easily

Unicycles are priced acording to quality. The frame tends to be weak, it
has crappy pedals (Jerrick please don't flame me for saying that), and
it's heavy. The qu-ax has not so great pedals, and it's fairly heavy.
The hoppely is a bit heavy. The koxx has a cheap seatpost. The KH has a
cheap post. So basically you can see that as flaws get smaller and
fewer, price goes up. You just have to go with the best that you can
afford.

Its true though, the DX pedals have great grip, but are usually weak.
The Qu-Ax pedals are slippery, but havent broke yet.

I think the hoppley would be the best. It combines the strength of the
KH hub, the un-bendable cranks from Qu-Ax, the cheap/strong/ good
designed nimbus frame, a good rim and tire, and good seat.

I voted for the Nimbus Hopley. Good quality, strong, fairly light.

But I say by the best you can afford. As someone else said as price
goes up so does quallity.

For some kids getting your parents to pay $260 for a DX would be hard,
but a decent strong uni that won't break.

Me: I'm saving up for a 19" KH. I already got a 24" DX for the reason
above, but as my first uni I'm regretting that choice. If I were to do
it again I'd get the 24" Nimbus II learner, then save up and get a KH.
I could have saved myself $100 had I gone that route.

I went riding with those dx pedals with Evan and Cody a long time ago
and we were going to ride at a school so we were hopping over a 5 foot
fence to get in so I dropped my uni over the top and the pedals
shattered when it hit the ground. That was the right pedal and since I
am right foot forward and its my dominant foot I decided to flip the
seat around so I could have a full pedal on my right foot. On the ride
back home one of the pedals unscrewed itself because I was riding it
backwards so much and the threaded pedal insert in my koxx crank fell
out. I got the insert back in but it still sucked.

I vote KH.

My right DX pedal broke Sunday, at the bridge where reflector usually
goes. I have Pedal Protectors on them, so they would have probably
broke sooner had I not put them on.

It's just a Nimbus trials setup with the KH/Onza hub and crankset right?

I say that it depends on how serious you are. If you are really serious,
get a KH. The lightest, and right up there with the strongest. But, if
you are not so serious, I'd say the DX is 2nd. If you plan on being
serious... well idk, get the KH anyway 😉
