  1. Will Asterope pike again?
Will Tam ever be seen on a bike again?
    Will Lotte bring her shottie?
Will MM show us his scars?
Is Donga back from his tour of academia?
Will Abby come out of hibernation?
Will Adam slow down enough to join us?
Will ANY of the previous regulars show up?

To find out, join the "Prehistoric [censored]" on her nth birthday (well, as close as you're going to get to it) for a (bike) ride & brekkie somewhere afterwards. One more year & I get my Seniors card! Yay!!

    GW Bridge, 6 am Friday.

Sounds good, I might be able to make it. And it's my birthday too!

  5. Dear prehistoric [censored],

My old man got a seniors card when he turned 55.... last year. You should have had yours by now!!

I'd say I'll be there.... and of course I'll bring the shottie. I haven't ridden much lately, so be patient with me, and don't be tempted to slap my lardy @rse unless you want to see it wobbling non stop for the duration of the ride.

Ack:o I'm even older than your Dad?
I thought I had to wait till 60 for my card ... might look into that! Wonder who to whinge to ... :p

And don't worry, I've not been doing much on the road bike since I last saw you - only one ride in fact. And I have a trail triathlon coming up in a little over 3 weeks time

Looks as if we'll have a good turnout, thanks all 🙂

    Simpsons quote
(Homer gets a checkup at the doc, and to check if he's
obese, they set him wobbling, and time how long it takes to
    stop.)
Homer: "Woohoo! Look at that blubber fly!"
Doctor, over intercom: "Nurse, cancel my ten o'clock."

    Tam

PS Lotte is so full of sh!t.

Yes, but you must promise NOT to wear your birthday suit for
the occasion - save that for the nude bike ride day!

Think you're pretty safe on that score. I'd frighten the horses if I did that.

My body shape ain't what it used to be when I was young! 🙁

  10. unfortunately, i'll be in tenterfield... and no, i wont be riding there, as much as i would absolutely love to. ive been mucho sick lately and i think riding would kill me, i will have to go easy.

uni goes back in a few weeks time, so you wont be able to get rid of me then.

We had no trouble keeping you away from LA rides last year.

Has anyone else noticed that the LA name has been swiped? By a weight loss company of all things. Lard @rse Weight Loss Centres.

    Shall we sue? Where's MM?

You have no grounds to sue. I registered global IP rights to "LA" not long after I started doing those rides. You'll never prove it though, as its held by a Bermudan company in a manner which is completely untraceable. There are a myriad of interposed trusts from here to Guernsey and back (via the Carribean each way) with detours through Switzerland and the Seychelles.

As far as you know, I may even own the LA weight loss concept (although my current form may indicate otherwise) 😄

The global IP rights to "LA" are in my control together with a number of other tremendous marketing ideas which I plan to implement between now and retirement so that I can live the lifestyle I am currently accustomed to.

    These other ideas include:

    • a chain of topless gentlemens hair & grooming salons called "Tops Off!"
    • a chain of bottomless gentlemens cigar and wine bars called "Butts Out"
    • a chain of oyster bars called "Get Shucked"; and
    • Naked Fish & Chippers - "[censored] of the Day"

Although joint venturing is not my preferred business model, I will consider equity arrangements with the right people willing to get on board at the ground level.

Quiet day in the office today, MM?
Once again, post of the day to MethaneMan 😄

So you're going to be a hard [censored] over the Lard [censored]?

Please be informed that a third undisclosed party for which I act owns the rights to the French brand "La 'Darse".

Be very careful how you pronounce the name which you own or we'll sue your nuts off (assuming they are available for suing, given previous discussions on a.b)

Bring it on froggies. They can't even defend their own country. No way they could stand up to the "shock and awe" tactics of my legion of cold-hearted henchman would unleash. Why, I fart in their general direction. Their mother was a hamster, and their father smelled like elderberries !!!!

You just reminded me - I have to ring someone and threaten them. Perhaps if I mentioned cold hearted henchmen, it might work better than just threatening to sue them.

When threatening people professionally, I always try to work in the following images (in no particular order)

    • that little chucky doll from the Childsplay movies
    • plagues, pestilence, famine etc (you know, the generic biblical stuff)
    • the horseman of the apocalypse
    • aids
    • glove puppets
    • chuck norris
    • armageddon (not threatening then with end of the world, but threatening to make them sit through that really [censored] movie with Ben Affleck and Steve Buscemi); and
    • swapping their groupset to shimano

Its all getting a bit tired now. I'm thinking of working in that torture scene withe big piece of rope from the new Casino Royale James Bond movie.

That's ridiculous, once you mention Chuck Norris you don't need any of
    the others.
