  1. Most of the time I could care less if a rider beats the rap on a drug test, but somehow validating Landis' fairy tale [censored] ride on stage, what was it, 18 is a bit much to handle.

Are you guys surprised? Seriously! Are you surprised? This is what I was expecting. I'm NOT saying I agree with these findings. Just that its pretty much what I was expecting.

The French were waiting until the decision has been made in the US case before they decide whether or not Landis will be able to race again in France. I wonder if that equates to: "France will go along with whatever decision is made in the US."

It'll be interesting to see how this plays-out.

  4. The common denominator to all this b/s (who does and who doesn't beat drug raps) is the ALMIGHTY American dollar. You got enough of them, you WILL beat ANY drug accusation...

    Dollars didn't work for Tugboat.

  6. ...all i have to say is "good for landis." if the system cannot be applied equally across the board (i.e. anonymity of specimen's source, chain of evidence, and almost draconian adherence to the protocols of the analytic process) for all those tested, then any deviance from them should result in our demand that the accused be shown to be guilty beyond the shadow of a doubt. landis and his legal team did a splendid job of splitting hairs, raising doubts, and suppressing "independent" analysis of his specimens to yield this result. and this all with a caveat that the final determination/s has/have not been handed down. hopefully, this latest display of wada's shortcomings will result in a testing system which is above reproach...

  7. How it plays out:

Nike pays drug cheats such as Lance, Marion and Barry.
Floyd Landis and Arnie Baker are bald faced liars
Floyd will wear chuch clothes until his doping crime is expunged
Floyd autographed bottles of Jack Daniels last Sunday evening. Mocking his own cover story.

Thor Hushovd (CrA2R) ate potato chips and slammed down a beer 90 minute before his EPO/Amgen Telegraph Hill 3:15 pm prologue TT effort. They must drink beer too. Calories count.

Floyd Landis is a fraud, a drug cheat and a coward.

I actually have to agree with you for the most part. There has to be some strict protocol for the handling of these samples and these labs have to follow it. And there has to be records proving that they did. It's as simple as that. If Landis (or anyone else) can prove that their sample was mishandled, the protocol was not followed, or the chain of custody can't be established, that's ground for dismissing the charges in my opinion. The lab needs to have impeccable methods for handling the samples and a paper trail to prove that it was handled properly.

I don't know if the lab handled the samples properly or not in this case (and neither does anyone else on this forum depsite what they'd like for you to believe). But if there's any truth behind how these samples are handled, things have to change significantly. It's unbelievable! Does Dr. Boogerfinger come out of the lab with his hands behind his back saying "Guess which hand" or what?!?!?!

    WRONG!!! (again)

Like always you try to lump everyone who makes any kind of valid arguement into your little "doping apologist" group. It's ridiculous. You're ridiculous. And you become increasingly moreso with every post you make.

I'm not apologizing for anything and I never have. Nor have I ever denied doping.

When wrong, just fall back on your usual "doping apologist" banter.

Who cares if the urine sample disappered and then reappeared two days later under the care of Dr. Dingledorf? It's all good as long as they "nail the doper"! Right FF?

They would have preferred Swiss Francs. Actually, any form of money works.

Like making an American win the EPO-Amgen Tour where NO DRUG TESTING occurs.

Floyd Landis another pharmaceutical joke for America to laugh at.

Hey don't get me wrong FF, I'm in no way proclaiming Floyd's innocence here! I'm just saying that if these allegations that are being made against the lab have any truth to them (and I don't know if they do), they've got to get it taken care of! You can't prove guilt (at least not in the U.S.A.) when the defense keeps showing evidence that the labs are mishandling the samples and proving that they can't establish a documented chain of custody for the samples. I'm not saying that anyone is innocent. Only that they'll never be able to convict anyone if these labs can't get it right! This isn't over yet either. Maybe the lab will prove they did it right!

Flyer's.Finale is the reason i keep coming back here. mostly for the insight, but also for the comedy.

That's how Joe Montana, Tom Brady and Payton Manning all do it!

NFL colects $5.6 BILLION per year BEFORE gaming (gambling concession)payouts.

Illegal sports book runs $1 BIILION per week in the NFL and is a $200 BILLION in gross action for all USA sports. That throws off a cool $25+ in concession margin to be divided amognst the insiders.

No doping in the NFL---Tony knows that game.

You are a man of great insight amongst the commercially blinded fans.

You don't really think professional athletes dope, do you?

    Really?

    Are you being serious?

I mean, injecting all that nasty stuff and risking their health... for what? A few bucks.

    Come on, buddy.

You should vist the UCLA USA laboratory sometime---Donald Catlin's operation. It is a mess. All the world's anti-doping labs are in disarray. They have no MONEY! Pharma labs are clean and neat. Doping rocks!

Dopers and their sponsors will NEVER adequately fund doping control. They are commtted to doping and denial and discrediting the silly underfunded labs.

    That will NEVER change.
