footballers compared to the cyclists it seems clear that the
answer is for cycling to have as much money in it as football.
That is what it would take to clean up the sport.

In yesterday's post-race chat on Rai3, the minister of sport and the drug
prosecutor were both needled about their failing to go after richer sports.

Actually, I think it's just easier going after a sport which has long-time
dope control than initiating a new one. After the UEFA final Wednesday, I
didn't see any evidence that the players were going to be tested after the
match. I tried to get ASO to disclose if they did any testing after the
Paris marathon, with no result. I could go on, but really, no other sport
is tested as much, although track & field seems to get a little scrutiny.
