I need to buy a new front derailleur for a Camp Centaur 10 speed triple group (pre-Quick Shift). Does anyone know whether the new Campy QS front derailleurs are compatible with older (i.e. pre-QS) 10 speed shifters? Or am I better off finding a pre-QS model (like a pre- QS Campy Chorus 10 speed front triple)?
BTW -- in non-marketing speak, can anyone explain in simple terms how the QS shifters differ from their non-QS brethren (particularly for the front derailleur). Thanks.

Get the 'QS' FD. For non 'QS', Centaur and below shifters(2006 and older), it makes no difference.

Longer arm..basically, they made the flatbar FD the standard dimension, to reduce SKUs...but if you have 2007 Record and Chorus or any 2006 and older left shifter, it doesan't matter which FD you use.
