No guess here.
It is used in an arcane initiation ritual to brand the cheeks of new Mavic Service Course
mechanics (the neutral service guys on those yellow motorcycles). I'm risking my life just by
telling you this.

p.s. I actually think it might fit the holes on a dustcap (?) for a Mavic hub - the ones with Mavic
cast into the shell, 500 series or something like that.

I'm pretty sure it's a Mavic BB cup remover/adjuster. They had adjustable cups on both sides on some
of their BB's. It was a typical (in the old days..) pin-type adjusting. We used to use a pin wrench,
two pins on the end of a plier-like device. However, it was not very good for adjusting because it
was hard to hold with just the pin wrench. I think this was a Mavic tool for doing that duty, and it
has a pin for every hold in the cup. Could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure that's what it is.

The URL's changed: cgi.ebay.comeBayISAPI.dll and
it's now decribed as a #670 bottom bracket tool. However, I think the same tool worked on the dust
caps for the 500/550 series hubs. That's a fuzzy memory, though.
