Every hackle on my neck feathered upwards. I didn't have time for this
today. I needed to get in and out of the store quickly and tackling
Cro-Magnons was not part of the plan.

Nit-picking: The context of what you wrote implies that you think
Cro-Magnons are some other species of human, like Neanderthals. In fact,
Cro-Magnons are modern men. You're the same species as a Cro-Magnon. So am
    I. So is everybody who reads this.

When I first wrote it, I used "Neanderthals" but was corrected by
someone that stated the Neanderthals were quite advanced socially
so I was using it wrong in that context too. <shrug>

Don't worry about it. Every twenty years there is a paradigm shift in
    anthropology and cosmology. Stay tuned.
