silly. It's just another carbohydrate. -

Rss feed : http://soccer-europe.com/RSS/News.xmlI wouldn't call it flatter than a pancake, more like thinner but
stronger. It can withstand bending and folding and filling without tears
or getting soggy. It also doesn't absorb juices and swell up like a
pancake. It can become well-enrobed in sauces, which is different, and I
think, tastier:-)Melondy

and butter. Crepes are more versatile than pancakes. Pancakes can be
eaten with maple syrup, artificial maple syrup, pancake syrup, several
different types of fruit syrups. Crepes can be eaten with all those, but
they can also be filled with sweet or savoury fillings. They can also be
heated up in a sweet buttery sauce and folded into triangles, maple even
flambeed like Crepes Suzette. -

shells, I've stuffed them with ham and cheese - asparagus and cheese sounds
lovely! That might be my next cooking adventure. :~) Thanks for the idea!kili

In Bretagne, they are called galettes.Yes, with buckwheat. (Oustanding with a savory filling and a mug of [censored]
hard cider.)This thread makes me wonder -- is the crêpe really so unfamiliar??? It is
one of the basic food groups.Pancakes are said to be among the, or the, oldest worldwide cooked foods.
(When you consider their range, like maize [US corn] tortillas in the
Americas.) Crêpes are among the basic types, because not leavened. My
father ("educated" about this in France, in wartime) used the rule of thumb:"Two eggs, a cup of flour, a cup of milk." It works, and is easy to
remember. (Unlike variations that complicate it unnecessarily.) -

No, somewhere between Bingahmton and Albany, just north of the Catkills.
Yesterday morning was still below freezing for us even though a few
daytime temps have hit over 50. Like I said, sunshine and warmth are
kind of strangers to us here.Melondy

Nice country out that way. I've spent a few lost weekends tearing my hair
out, trying to catch whitefish in Otsego Lake. -
