  1. Heya folks,

Don't let 7 pm and Bob Pastorio pass you by!

Since this is the day we are toasting Bob Pastorio at 7pm, whatever
your local time is, I was thinking......

Those of you that like to chat, and want to join in the toasting there
as well, join us in chat at whatever appropriate time it is in your
time zone. And we will all raise a glass of whatever you want to use
    to toast Bob.

I don't know the earliest time zone to reach 7pm, at least for the
remainder of the day....but you know who you are....

Even if you don't want to chat, remember to toast Bob at 7pm.

    Christine

Well I'm not sure how Oz is supposed to fit into this sequence, and I
was a bit late (as habitual) getting around to thinking about eating
this evening, so I didn't raise a glass until about 10:00 p.m. local
time (i.e. 12:00 GMT). Anyway, as it appeared I was probably a bit
late, I had a couple more glasses of red to compensate for my
tardiness. I'm sure Bob agrees that was appropriate penance.

    Cheers, Phred.

I am sure he would approve. We're next - will be 7pm here in just over
    an hour and a half.....

The toast is scheduled and my daughter's family plans to join in.

Well it's 6:30 in Athens right now! 8:30 in California.

I'm Greek so can I start in a half an hour?

    :-)

    I'll drink to that!

Dimitri, the 8:30 in California is this morning, not this evening.
It's too early to start drinking in the USA.

    Or is it?

So you concur, no one needs to remind you what time the drinking
begins... it's no wonder you don't wear a watch. hehe

I remember Mom cooking dinner as we hung around the family room doing
homework when the radio program chimed "It's 5 o'clock, it's cocktail
    time."

Didn't matter if she was saving a whale, she'd stop and systematically go
about making a cocktail, sip some of it and go back to cooking, as if
    hypnotized.

    It was her ritual.

I don't know about the rest of you, but I am so worried about messing up
and missing the 7:00 P.M. appointed hour, I am practicing now. Marcel
is helping me. We opened an Australian Shiraz, inexpensive but very
tasty. With it, egg salad on Matzo pieces, which should keep us fairly
    sober. :o)

    will if I can.
