issue like obesity and the goal of their research is not to resolve
the diet issue but to find a drug.*** quote
"What's really exciting is that mice with excess FGF21-even when they
are fed-look like they are fasted," Kliewer said. "It's startling that
you can give one hormone and flip the whole metabolic profile.""We think these findings would increase the desirability of a drug
that [might work through this mechanism] to increase fat oxidation in
the liver," added Maratos-Flier,....
*** unquoteI would be excited if I could make million$ by pushing another drug
down peoples throats.
Would be concerned about the PPAR gamma activation by such a drug.
Afterall, Avandia is a PPAR gamma agonist.
There is also the issue of "torpor" which the investigators have
described as being part of low-carbing and fasting.
Just as fasting is an ill-advised method of losing weight, the issues
of "torpor" and lipid-peroxidation effects of hyperketonemia make low-
carbing also ill advised.
A pill would obviate the toxic effects of prolonged hyperketonemia but
may still be associated with increased CV risk through PPAR gamma
agonist activity.
May GOD bless you in HIS mighty way making you hungrier than ever.
Prayerfully in Jesus' awesome love,
Andrew <><
