  1. Saw it on FoodTV- stuffed pork tenderloins that were pan seared and
then put in a clay pot with veggies and a sauce and cooked for another
8 hours. Anyone know the name of the dish or have a recipe for it?
Cant find it on the website and google searches dont find anything
    like it. Thanks!

For the life of me, I can't figure out why you would need to braise pork
tenderloin. It is a very tender cut of meat probably the most subtlety
flavoured part of a pig. Sorry, bit braised pork tenderloin just doesn't
    make sense to me.

  3. Hi Dave,

Not sure either- but it looked wonderful.. falliing apart mostly and
in some kind of rich sauce. Reminded me a little of Coq au vin...
I wish I knew what it was!

Falling apart? After 8 hours, I'd expect it to dissolve. :-)

  5. It looked like it was tied- and stuffed with some kind of cheese- I
missed the beginning though and it was one of those where she didnt
really give the recipe, just a quick explanation. It was called
pork... something (Itallian) .. Big help, I know. 🙁

Go to the Food TV web page and you'll find it. Do you know the show and
    who made it?

You don't even need to know the show if you go to the FoodTV website and
do a search on recipes using pork tenderloins. Skim the results and one
should be able to find what they seek (if it was shown on the FoodTV
    network).

  10. It was on Giada's weekend get aways- when she was in Jackson Hole, WY.
The website only has 2 recipes from that show and neither of them were
the one she tried in an restaurant there.
    Did anyone else see it?

It wasnt one of HER recipes.. she was visiting places and had it in a
restaurant in Jackson Hole, WY. Ive done searches for pork and
tenderloin and not found anything like it so far.
It had a name- Pork "something" Italian (lol) Drives me insane when I
    cant find something.

I suspect it was pork loin or, at least, some cut other than
tenderloin. It doesn't make sense to stuff a pork tenderloin and then
cook it for 8 hours. Why stuff it when it will disintegrate while
    cooking.

The good news is that Food Network repeats those things so keep an eye out
for that time. The bad news is that it was on yesterday at 2PM Eastern

The only stuffed pork that comes to mind is porchetta, and anything can
be made porchetatta, but it wouldn't be braised and wouldn't be
tenderloin. So I conclude it is the chef's invention and he thought it
was sort of Italian. I think you should just wing it. By the time it's
been cooked that long, an error will barely show.

  15. I think you are right- and I may just wing it myself. If anyone sees
the episode and pays attention- let me know!

    Thanks!
