I think it was in the July 11 issue.

It did not appear in my history which is strange. I found it by
searching sun ovens.
If you click the food section of the paper, the article is listed
there also.

I built a solar oven a few weeks ago ... w/ scraps around the house. Free.
If you want to get good info on solar ovens (both home made and store
bought) do a search on yahoo groups.

bought) do a search on yahoo groups.

The Sun Oven is the most highly regarded in the solar cooking groups that I
participate in. I think they are defiantly worth the money, if you have the
money to spend on one. I didn't, so I built ours.
Building the oven took me about 2 hrs, that included painting ... not
everyone wants a painted oven.

It was pretty simple, my kids loved working on the project and they learned
quite a bit while doing it.
But don't get me wrong 🙂 If I had the extra $$ I would buy a Sun Oven ...
there are some definite advantages. The self level being one of them.

This is an interest of mine.

I managed to get a small satellite antennae from freecycle and need to
find the focal point. I wanted to line it with mirror fragments and use
it to make a solar stove.

I should be able to get broken mirror for free from the local glass
shops.
