I-95 is always 'rush hour.'
Why the hell don't tax payers get up in arms and build some new roads.
Beats me.
We always avoid I-95, but it's hard to do in CT -- whatta mess!
I agree - go by helicopter -- or better yet --- hey, go Amtrak! Maybe he
can sit on those pissy seats like the rest of the travelers do.

Of course it's during rush hour! Didn't you ever wonder why news shots of
presidential motorcades are always full of crowds? We're supposed to think
they've turned out for the prez!

They also do this for George Bush's father, who is no longer the
president. Secret Service barricades all of the side streets, so you
can not get through.

I went to pay my final house payment (woo-hoo) in Houston. Bush's dad
lives a few blocks behind my mortgage lender, near the Galleria area of
Houston. I had to wait until George Bush was gone and they removed the
barricades. What an ordeal.

A workman in our home yesterday said that if we were selling our house;
whether or not I put a certain type of product in; I told him that they
would be carrying me out. You must be feeling great. Hope you can settle

There aren't that many places in Center City where a helicopter can
land. The only places I can think of that would be safe are the hospital
heliports at Hahnaman, Jefferson, and HUP. That being said, I worked
today (in Philly) and if you hadn't mentioned it, I wouldn't have known
our Disaster in Chief was in town.

I was thinking Penn's Landing but the President flies with two attack
helicopters in the lead. I don't think they could all land at Penn's Landing
at the same time.

Well, the attack helicopters wouldn't have to land. Doesn't Philadelphia
have any heliports? Of course there are, on top of some buildings.
At any rate, I don't really expect them to helicopter into the city, but
at least give it a shot not to close highways when everyone is trying to
get to work. Timing.

Well, the attack helicopters wouldn't have to land. Doesn't Philadelphia
have any heliports? Of course there are, on top of some buildings.

The only heliport I know, aside from the hospital LZs Stan mentioned is
Penn's Landing. I don't know where the Coast Guard heliport is.

I guess if they can't land on a military base, they can't simply "park" at
a heliport while he runs over to the Philly Marriott for breakfast?
