There are a few of these 'computerised training products' on the market.
I've heard tax do quite a good one, and I looked into the Reebok Cyberrider but it looked cack. I finally went for http://www.trainersoftware.com mainly due to the fact it was quarter of the price and seems to do everything the tax one does and more. It does kick a**!
It certainly makes turbo-training more interesting by about 1000%.
Would you ever consider buying a computerised training product?
I don't mean a LED speedo or anything .. I mean one of these 'plug into your PC / PS2 etc' type thingies that they're bringing out.
I've got access to a CompuTrainer that I use from time to time; it's pretty neat to see the spread of real-time data it and similar systems can present as you churn.
Admittedly more suited to serious race/event training than enthusiast/fitness work, but a valuable tool if you're looking for an edge and you've got money to burn.

I think it probably depends also on the climate .. there are some locations where during the winter *no-one* wants to cycle as you're so likely to have a bad fall ..
Hard to stay in shape when you're watching a boring old LED for hours each day ...
