1. Will Astana call it a day?
cyclingheroes.infoid796.html

Dark clouds above the team: BMC terminated their sponsor contract, Kazach officials support Vino after he has been sacked by the team...

2. BMC must be reeling from the Astana and Phonak fiascos. What's Astana going to ride on for the next 4 weeks? Neutral badged BMCs?

Will their main sponsor hold back and funds due? Will Kloden bail?

Quite the farce ...

3. It wouldn't surprise me if they say 'bugger it' and pull out completely.
or
They will come back after their self imposed 4 week suspension armed with with a new charter as T-Mobile & CSC did.

well, i hope the riders and all the little people find work someplace else. and even if astana doesnt fold, i must certainly want my favorite rider to continue elsewhere.

I think it's the reason Klöden told radsport-aktiv.de that he wants to race at the worlds...
My guess about Astana: it's over.

The funniest thing is after Phonak imploded in the Landis scandal Andy Riis invested in BMC bikes.... for now this to happen ! LOL !

Astana will go as they were only ever set up for the purpose of Vino winning the Tour...... now that won't happen there is no point for the Railway system of Kasazajhdsjfhdjkskjhkjhkjhkjstan to invest in a cycling team ! then again the railway system of Kasazajhdsjfhdjkskjhkjhkjhkjstan was how they transported the dope ? PS Kloden shat all over T-Mobile and Gerlosteiner so he aint going to get a ride with them.... no French team will pick him up... so where now ? No more big acting jobs for Andreas... Its the theatre restaurant circuit for him !

Consider that Astana's invite to the Tour of Germany was revoked and the BMC debacle, it is hard to see a way back for Astana.

Vino's conduct has had severe repercussions.

Very good! Maybe he could come to Edinburgh and do a show for the Festival? He could hop in and out of a ditch, shouting "Achtung! My coccyx!" Maybe Dode Hincapie could join him shouting, "Hey dude, where's my bloodbag?" Remeniscences of a Sprinter Turned Climber Turned Nobody.

What about Andreas joining Tinkoff? Or Disco? Johan could look Andreas in the eyes and know for sure if he was clean.

Yes it could be done in German TV comedy show humour..... "Vino, Vino ! mine coccyx ist kaput !" - "No problem Andreas take some of mine blood, it good. I drink da blood of a kazaajhdskstani yak !".

Then Big George will come into frame and ride into a ditch......

Can we pitch this to someone? There's a gap in German TV schedules where the cycling used to be. We could throw a funny dog into the mix and have a sure-fire hit. I'll email Endemol.

Its champagne comedy ! Big George can be the funny dog with droopy ears and slow speech...

On a slightly serious note... German TV decision to pull the Tour from their schedules was done in the protest of doping in cycling... so what do they show instead ? [censored]-comedy ! yes game shows where one team of woman have to de-robe when they get questions wrong asked by a team of men...... and no dogs !

Sexism is fine. Doping not so fine. (They're opinion, not mine.) They really pulled the Tour because German men weren't watching as all their heroes were in gaol. Fill the screens with bouncing boobies and all of Germany's men tune in. We'll need to throw a few bouncing boobies into our treatment to secure the contract with Endemol.

14. I think the money and the desire is still there so maybe a new name and re- shuffled team.
So yes Astana or some variation will be back.

I think Biver & co are looking for a new sponsor and they might very well succeed. I gues you know who the co's are....

The Kazach goverment did not like it that Vino was sacked, they are openly backing him. I think the Kazach money will not go to Biver anymore (but I might be wrong).

The question is not if there is a team that would sign Klöden if Astana would stop, the question would be more, can he find enough motivation after this years Tour. Some people are targetting on riders over 30 out there and Andreas knows that. As you can see on other postings here a lot of people are buying it...

I have come to find that I can't get a lot of information by e-mail. Some people think they are being monitored closely.
I think they are correct.
Kloden is probably finished and will feel the pressure if he tries to compete again.

Read my last post...

Contador is a young talented rider so he is not on the OP list... ;-))))

McQuaid said so and hé when Verbruggen says that , sorry I mean McQuaid, then he is not in. Riders dope when certain people say so, if the same people say riders are clean then they are clean. It's actually not that difficult.
