    I'm new to this newsgroup stuff so sorry if I don't observe any of the
    protocols, as I don't know them.
    If you want to cycle from the airport you arrive at, do airports have areas
    where you can hire storage for such items as the bike bag until you return?

    You could always leave it in left luggage, for a fee.

    You could always leave it in left luggage, for a fee.

    Which can be pretty hefty.

    Can you bundle the bike bag up somehow to get it to your first destination
    after the airport? If you can arrange a night at either end near the
    airport, the hostel/hotel will probably store your bag for you.

    Another alternative is use a box, dump the inward one, then pick up a
    replacement at a bike shop for the way home.
