  1. just curious. Has word of this gotten outside of Ohio? This race
    starts tomorrow.

This is the first Ultra in northeast Ohio. The course looks
interesting. It is one way but does have some loopbacks for 100miles
total. The trails it goes on should all be beautiful. Even with the
dry weather this summer, things are still fairly green in the parks
    areas.

Here's the Plain Dealer article about it.

(sorry if that wraps on you.)

Maybe you'd like to try it sometime Doug.

    from the article

"If you're thinking the Burning River and other ultra races exist only
for elite runners, think again. Just like running in general, ultra-
marathoning is on the rise among regular people."

No regular person would ever think of running an ultra. It takes a
    certain breed to do those.

Jump in and let me know what it is really like. 🙂 I'll keep it in
mind in case I can't do the Vermont 100 next year.

I found the official site which has the results. The winner finished
in 16:07:10 (he was one of the organizers). Wow!
