Yep. Had mine for a couple of weeks now. What can I say? It's a great bike. I'm still getting used
to the more upright riding postion and am fine-tuning the suspension. Just check that the rear shock
is orientated the correct way when you get
it. Mine came with the shock upside down (or should that be the graphics were the right way up)
which meant that the seatpost would hit the blue rebound adjust knob. The red anodised cap
should be at the top. It wouldn't hurt getting some rub-strips/plastic on the paintwork where
the cables rub either. Only complaint was that the rear brake cable would bulge outwards where
it crossed the suspension linkage. It would catch my left calf muscle as I pedalled. A couple
of zipties eventually fixed it.

What type of riding do you plan to do with it? Let me know what you think of it if you plan on using
it as a trail bike. I've pretty much ruled out a longer travel bike (although I know by todays
standards 5 inches isn't really long travel anymore). -
this bike will be used for XC , some racing and some [censored]'s and giggles. The Racing is going to a
bunch of the 24 hours of adrenalin. I will be taking a 3-4 day ride threw the moutains * all back
country sruff* The only mod i have bought for the bike b4 i have even got it is Aluminum tubes for
the break lines. Less flexing means more stoping power even for the mechs. I can't wait for this
bike🙂 i road one at a bike show and fell in love with
it 🙂 that and just to be back on a FS after my Warp got stolen🙁 been riding my beater hard tail
since June 29🙁 Got any pics?🙂thanks for the info

What about the 2004 NRS, anybody got one yet ? I'm looking to buy one in March/April next year
(NRS2, XL). But what's up with the specs ? The UK/European NRS2 seems much better than the US NRS2,
the US model doesn't even have hydraulic discs ? And the rear shock is different too...Anybody tried the new Giant MPH-3 hydraulic disc brakes ?

I'm considering a NRS 2, and if I do go with one, I'll have the fork swapped before I take delivery
on it. Most of the bike is actually spec'd to my liking, not being a weight weenie or an XTR freak.
I don't know why they didn't keep an NRS 3, pretty dissapointed about that.Yes, the fork is what bothers me too. No big deal to swap I guess. I'll consider it when the time
comes. I'll definately swap out the shifters and rear derailleur though, for SRAM X.9 (grip-shift,
not trigger). And the cassette for an 11-32. Would prefer a 11-30, but nearly impossible to get
for 9-speed.BTW, they did keep an NRS 3, but not in the US:
Nothing for me though, I'm fed up with freezing rear brakes. I'm finally going hydraulic 🙂
