Just back from 10 days walking from Zennor to Boscastle and I have a tip for any one doing it.
At a couple of places the SWCP is signed through the dunes: Hayle to Godrevy Point. Perran Beach [Peranporth to Ligger Point]
If the tide is with you; keep off the dunes and walk on the beach! At each place the route looks as though it has been re-directed several times to take account of the dunes changing patterns. It is very easy to lose the way! We went "that way" 'cos that was the direction the post pointed. 10 minutes later we espy a post 100 yards to our right and not on the line of the original post at all - very confusing!
That said we had a good time except for the rain on the Friday which prompted one kindly B & B proprietor, after having told us they had no vacancies, to say "My! you look like drowned rats! You'd better come in!" 30 minutes; 7 phone calls and a cup of coffee later he'd found us a B & B and volunteered to take us there. Amazing how much kindness one can meet when walking.
Roger - I'm sure I'll be doing that bit at some point, just haven't reached it yet, so thanks for the tip - the same applies for the Studland Bay section in Dorset (take care not to trip over the nudists...).
If you're thinking of doing any more, you may (or possibly not) be able to get some hints from our trip reports (we've done Minehead to Bude and Poole to Weymouth so far):
I think my favourite bits so far are Hartland Point to Bude (predictable - is this everyone's favourite?) and the circuit of the Isle of Portland (a well kept secret, methinks!).

My friend and I are gradually doing the whole of the path, with the occasional diversion. This year we met a lass going anti-clockwise just outside Port Isaac. She had walked in the pouring rain from Tintagel to Port Isaac the previous day - apparently the path was very slippery due to the heavy rain. She warned us off it if there were to be more rain because the risks were too high. Of course it rained the next day so we took to the road - not so interesting!
We started at Poole and, awkward sods that we are, we're doing it clockwise. At 9-10 days a year we should reach Minehead in about 3 years time!
