  1. I am running and doing excercises with people in my town three times a
week for three hours a week.
But I am unable to get my sugar addiction under control. I do well for
a day or two but always end up eating cake, cookies or ice cream.

I am not giong down in weight. I have been doing this excercise
    routine for about one month.

What eating program should I stick to?
Is there any eating program online I can read up on?
    thanks

Hey stupid, this is a RUNNING newsgroup, about RUNNING, not diet.
start running, then come back and whine about that.

Ignorant white trash troll. You can't see how dieting might have
something to do with running? If not, why don't you go and do something
you know more about, such as bending over and taking pictures of your
naked ass. You're an expert on stupid, so stay out of discussions about
    running.

It sounds like you already have a fair idea what you should and
shouldn't eat, but have been unable to stick to it. In other words it
sounds like a matter of behavior - maybe addiction as you say - not
    information.

Have you looked into a support group like say OA?

the answer is in your posting: stop eating cookies, ice etc! Get it
    under control:
for one: make sure there's no such products in your house: stop buying
    it!
If you have the mental strength to exercise 3x a week, surely you can
    beat a bad habit.
Your reference to an 'eating program' shows a false believe in a
solution from the outside; it's you who has to do it, not some
    program.
    Good luck / be strong

Be serious, pigs will be pigs. I bet "exercising for hours" is
comprised of golf, bowling, and/or shuffleboard. WHEW what a
    workout....

Sounds like you are making healthy lifestyle choices -- good for you!
I have a couple of thoughts.

First: Write Everything Down. For some reason when I started writing
down everything I eat or drink, I started having second thoughts
(sometimes) before I gobble up those cookies -- like, "Ooh, do I
really want to have to write this down?".

Second: try to make healthier substitutions. For example, I went
from corn chips to rice crackers and pretzels (cuts out the fat). One
idea for a sweet tooth is the flavored rice cakes -- there is a
cinnamon-apple flavored style at my local grocery (Safeway in
    California) that seems quite sweet.

Good luck! I'm still a couple kilograms over where I was at this time
    a year ago . . . It takes time.

You may want to register at the following site and setup the weight
goals to see how much you can eat and record what you eat in there.

Also becarefull as the exercise calories are generous and sometimes
double what you actually burn so dont be too kean to add all those
calories into your intake for the day
