  1. I've been alternating 3 pairs of shoes for a long, looonnng time, and keeping their outer soles
intact by using shoe goo. I don't know how many tubes I've been through. So, the outer soles are
barely worn and my legs and feet are starting to hurt more. I suppose the inner soles are giving out
. Can I offset this by replacing the midsoles. If so, where can I get suitable replacements for New
    Balance 715,763, and 5897 shoes.

  2. Just on the chance this is not a troll.

You could replace the insoles, but don't expect too much.

You feet are worth more than the little bit of money you are saving. Get new shoes.

You are a meanie and deserve all the pain you're experiencing. Buy new shoes, you dork.

Are you one of those that believes one never needs to change the oil in their car or you just wrap
duct tape on you tires to get additional miles?

    I don't know how many

Giving out? Unless you embalmed them the midsole is probably dust.

Of course, go down to the local dump and find a tire with some thread still left and staple pieces
to the bottom. No more Goo and great cushioning.

Buy some new shoes before you have to call the doctor.

And I assuming this is not a troll but......

Buy new shoes you prik! This is advice from a guy who runs his shoes to death before buying a new
pair. I get a year to two from one pair of Asics 2080's, yet the soles have never worn out or split
open. The absolute time to buy new shoes is if your feet, legs or back hurt. That is how I decide
it's time, and your NB's are ancient history. Now go cash your welfare check, return some beer
bottles (drink the beer first) or sell some crack, then get in your 73 AMC Pacer and head for the
    running store.

Years ago, when using Shoe Goo, I found that I was affecting the camber of the shoe, getting too
much buildup away from the worn heel itself.

NB dealer can indicate the equivalents. Try and get a second opinion, though, esp. from someone who
has tried the different models. Roadrunnersports.com has customer feedback on different models,
online. Also see rwforums.com, "shoes" forum.

Roadrunnersports.com and holabirdsports.com sell shoes at discount. RRS membership is
worthwhile--they will take back shoes that do not work out for you.

Usu. Holabird has lower prices. Roadrunner has 20% thanksgiving sale underway, great online catalog.
Be sure you discover all the specials/codes, etc., before buying.

To keep you going before you buy, insert a second insole layer of Spenco (green nylon on black
neoprene) under the shoe insoles. Or, even cut a piece from an old wetsuit or whatever. Even better,
do your runs on grass, where the finer points of shoe design matter much less.

If you decide not to continue w. NB brand, then Nike Air models hold their cushioning properties
longer. Check out the Bowerman line at a store or online source.

This guys advice is for morons like himself. Anybody who'd recommend nikes, or say their Air models
hold air is full of [censored], ignorant, or has investments in nike stocks. Nike air models are a joke,
that's why nobody else uses air systems. You'll find solids, gels, and other assorted wastes in
shoes, but only the cheap [censored] at nike figured out those materials cost money, air is free. The
air models in particular are very unstable, and invite injury. Stick with NB, Asics, Saucony,
Adidas, Mizuno, of P.F. Flyers, but DO NOT buy nikes.
