So who's the pick for todays stage? And who do you think will be in the leaders Jersey at the End. I think Evans has got to be a strong chance for the Leaders Jersey if he's got the legs.
-
I'll pick Cadel Evans to move into the GC lead followed by Dennis Menchov & Stijn Devolder.
As for winning the stage, probably Evans.
Karpets & Menchov should be up near the pointy as well. -
wow, oscar is hurting! over 40 secs back at first interval

cadel is going ok so far....
EDIT: WAS doing ok

Given the course (downhill) and the wind contitions it's the bigger chaps who did well today, hence the almost 55 kph average. However all those gians will be wiped out over the next few days, except perhaps Menchov's, he's looking like a pretty strong contender for the overall.

Evans looks a little underdone. I think it will still be between he and Menchov though.

I think Evans lost the Vuelta during this stage... -

Agreed.
I think the efforts of the TDF are making his legs a shade heavy for sure. -

Still two weeks to go and he didn't loose that much to the other GC riders. I think Evans will get better, not worse. -

Maybe, but it depends how deep he dug in the TDF. I think he'll place well here but he's not gonna win. Could be wrong but I think the TDF took too much out of him.
