I just bought my road bike and I was wondering if th pump I use on mountain biking works well in road tires... I ask because of the presure needed in road tires.
If you could tell me some brands or kins of pumps I'll be gladed.

Zefal HPX
In my experience, most of those mini sized pumps are useless for anything over about 50psi.. (if anyone knows one that is good for higher pressures without having gorilla arms, I'd be interested to know which one it is too.)

If your frame has a pump peg, you could use a Blackburn frame-fit pump. The best pump I have seen though is the Topeak Morph. There are road and mountain versions, but both are very similar. You can check it out at http://www.topeak.com

Same here: have a Zefal HpX on the current roadbike, but my new bike doesn't have a peg (like most of the new frames). I just picked up a Zefal TX-Mini pump from Nashbar which is rated up to 75 psi/5bar. Also bought a CO2 inflator to try...many folks here just carry the CO2 in case of flats. Haven't tried either yet.

Also using a Zefal HPX. The spring-mounting option is odd, but it works if you'd rather not strap it to your top tube.
Ditto on the uselessness of mini-pumps for road cycling. Anything's better than nothing in an emergency, but if you like pumping beyond 100psi, those little guys aren't too practical.

There are truly only two decent options:
1. Zefal HPX
2. SMALL C02 inflators
Aside from the fact that the Zefal can inflate up to road tire max psi's, it's also an excellent weapon when large dogs get the jump on you and you're not positioned to outsprint them.

Well It seems that both, the Zefal HPX and the Topeak Road Morph are about the same price, well thnx very much.
Now I wonder if you use slime in your road tubes? thnx.

FYI: you can get a little plastic clip thingy that has the peg you need to securely hold an HPX to your frame.
