Yep, he's a regular of the BromptonTalk forum. Did it in 3 minutes
under the cutoff. His stats were:

Distance: 1249.19 km (including a detour or two)

If you want decent speed but more interested in lightweight - go for less gears, smooth tires and a brookes seat. best bet in that scenario: S2L-X
