Don't listen to the boring aluminum-philes. What we need is something more
interesting, like a magnesium frame! Get some sparks going on the grinds! 😉

I'm not quite a Chabal or Andre the Giant, so 2.7 is far too big for

    Yeah, you can.
Also, the Monty Eagle Claw is available there, but I thinks its out of

It's a shame, but there is not a proper website for Triton products.
Clients have always been finding me through other clients or trials
forums. Building takes time and I am not looking for hundreds of
orders...so that people would have to wait ages till they get their
    babies 🙂
Building unicycle frames is quicker and easier comparing to bicycle
frames. So you guys will not have to wait that long.

Still there is a [censored] russian gallery: http://tbc.photofile.ru

Thanks for your reminder. It will motivate me to make a Triton website
    🙂

  6. The frame looks good Sponge! I'm tempted to get one. I think I'll sign
    up around spring.

I could stand to drop some weight with my frame. I think the handmade
Canadian KH that I ride is around 2.24lbs.

  7. Further good news regarding testing...

One of the frames is now being ridden in Hungary, Fabian Mark and
Kristian (the Euro street champion) both love the frame. For Kristian,
the light weight and the crown design is very helpful for flat tricks
and street too. A nifty little bonus, I was surprised too even 😉

I'll try and get more in-depth opinions from those guys, but for now it
seems to handle trials/street/flat rather well. Muy bien. 🙂

  9. The design in theory is meant to combat that. If it's gonna crack
anywhere eventually I'd say the corners where the gussets are welded
on. But, that's where Nimbuses and Devils (most steel frames) crack and
    snap.

The Triton has a similar style of crown join to the Nimbus/devils but
modified for the better, as we have gussets there to further aid
stiffness and strength. Considering the Devils nor Nimbuses snap at the
    seattube, I wouldn't worry.

Only frames like the KH snap at the seattube because look at their
crown join... the seattube is just sat on top of the horizontal crown
tube with 1 circular weld... which in theory is a weak join which was
scrapped immediately by the Triton engineer when I at first suggested
    it.

But yeah the testers are there to abuse it to see how it holds up and
how it performs for each discipline. So far, the Triton excels at
trials especially, with great merit in street and flat. Even after 4
years of hard abuse and one day a crack does appear, then it can always
be rewelded. My "The Ti" frame is about 5 years old and it is a MUCH
MUCH weaker frame design than the Triton Sponge, and it was rewelded
once before, so if that can hold up, then the Triton certainly can. I
have the utmost confidence in Triton's knowledge and ability.

  10. Sponge and Triton have put a lot of effort in designing and producing a
    proper unicycle.
Still if there is a crack or something like that - frankly I am happy
    with that.
As I had said before, it means I can update the technology ASAP. So the
next client is getting an updated version.

You can't have that when you produce 1000 frames at once.

  11. This is probably the coolest thing I've witnessed happening to the
unicycle industry. You guys are going to change a lot and I hope that
somehow it benifits you even though you aren't looking for a huge
    profit/mass production.

I wish I could support you guys but I don't see myself actually needing
a frame this good for a long time. But sounds like ya'll are gonna have
your hands full anyways with people already lining up for them. Good
    luck🙂

  13. Lots of people have asked that, and yes in theory that would be
    possible...

But there's no real advantage, especially if you're shortish. Just
means more weight on the frame and more area of the frame to get
battered. There's no real point in long neck unless even the 350mm
length of KH and CroMo seatposts is too short for you (but only riders
over 6 foot would need that)...

I purposefully made it short neck for this reason, and I think this is
the same reason why Kris and Yoggi opted for short neck on their
    frames.

I suspect it'll just add to the production time and cost. But go for it
if you can really justify having it.

  14. I enjoy the shorter necks, mainly because I have never needed the long
neck option. If I was using a QR clamp, I could see where I might have
trouble, but I use a standard bolt clamp, and not once, out of all the
years I have been riding, have I ever gotten something stuck on the
clamp, or had it get in my way.

And if it ever does, im not going to change the frame, im going to
change my form. Its cheaper that way.

  16. Why would you want to have a longer CrMo- or Alu-seattube instead of a
longer Ti-frame? The whole point of the Ti-frame is the superior
material, so why not use it for as much as possible?

For street/flat there would be the added benefit of the higher
seat-clamp, since for those uses it definetely gets in your way. But I
guess this is a non-issue due to the shape of the crown, which
restricts it to pure trials anyway.
