Bicycle Accessories at Daiso Japanese Store

Daiso has a bunch of bicycle accessories, including patch kits, patch
kit glue, bells, rubber rack straps, a handlebar mount bottle cage, a
cup holder, an umbrella holder that mounts to the fork (very unique),
cheap battery powered lights, reflectors, quick-release seat binder
bolts, and safety vests. They sell two screw-base 6V/2.4W dynamo bulbs
for $1.50 (probably not a big market for those in the U.S.!). Most of
the items they sell are $1.50. They also have a selection of metric nuts
and bolts.

I put the handlebar cage onto my page that lists ways to install water
bottle cages on bicycles without enough (or any) sets of cage bosses.

Don't forget to buy the little wire "third hand" brake tool they sell,
if you don't already have one. At $1.50, it's the bike deal of the year.

I'm far too frightened to try their cheap brake blocks, and the
multi-tools look like a failure waiting to happen. But much of the stuff
is a hoot. When I decide to put an umbrella on my commuter bike, I'll
know where to buy the holder.

Near Trader Joe's in the San Antonio shopping center. Kind of behind
Sears, and across the parking lot from Wal-Mart.

This last device is, apparently, called a "sasube". I was told about this
by a friend, spotted one on a bicycle in the Japanese town I was in at
the time, and then found several bike shops to try to buy one. I was told
pretty clearly that bike shops didn't sell them because they're
dangerous.

YMMV, of course. I want one for my motorcycle.

In the San Antonio shopping center, which is between El Camino Real,
Showers Dr, San Antonio Rd, and California St.

It's adjacent to Trader Joe's.

Most amusing are the kits to repair Woods style tire valves, with
lengths of replacement rubber tubing. Since Woods style valves aren't
used in the U.S., I don't think that they'll sell too many of these.
