  1. If you've got an hour there's time to crash in front of the tv with a

"So you call them. They are on the underground, so you can't get through."

So how's the GPS tracker going to know where they are then?

Here's another suggestion for saving money on your phone bill. Chill out and
stop nagging your partner with phone calls. He'll get home when he gets
home. If his dinner's gone cold, just put it in the microwave... :-)

By the way, has anyone here ever managed to get a GPS signal on the
    underground? With a 60CSX perhaps? ;-)

Yes, even with my aging GPS 12! Seem to recall it was crossing the
Thames at Kew Bridge on the District Line, with the unit pressed
against the window. But - smart alec responses aside - I'm sure it's
    impossible *in* the underground ;-)

Sitting by the window with an ancient eTrex against the window I've
found it works as well as in trains in general, when running above
ground, i.e. patchy, but good enough to keep track of where you
are. But only if the unit had quite recently found all currently
visible statellites, since the view is often intermittent enough to
slow down first lock, i.e. acquisition of current sat data for a new
    sat, very considerably.
