Produced by Sandra Lee and promoting a bunch of "Great
    Value"-branded ingredients, no doubt.

I can find no other mention of this DVD.

But worth it because only she can provide the secret methods of which
jar of big box stuff goes with what box of big box stuff and the proper
    proportions.

The DVD includes a video from Emeril Lagasse. I can't see Emeril
    promoting Great Value brand.

"And we'll kick it up a notch with some Great Value special seasoning"
    ....and the crowd goes crazy.

Emeril needs to stick to toothpaste commercials, which
coincidently, is the last time I've seen his mug or heard his
    voice.

There's a reason you don't hear about Emeril here too often.
While some of his FoodTV-written recipes may be passable, I don't
think he's a very good cook or personality.

I found this link for you since your google research skills are lacking:
    http://upcomingpixar.blogspot.com/2007/11/ratatouille-dvd-retail-exclusives.html

    Also I found this quote:
This Wal-Mart exclusive DVD contains episodes from "Emeril Live,"
"Robert Irvine Dinner Impossible," "30 Minute Meals With Rachael Ray,"
and "Alton Brown Good Eats" plus scratch and sniff character and recipe
    cards.

Target is going to have a bonus DVD with the Ratatouille DVD that seems
to be of the type that they had for the Cars DVD (behind the scenes
footage, etc) -- the kind of stuff that should have been with the main
DVD in the first place. The Target web site says that this is an
    in-store item only.

Having worked for that behemouth for almost three years, I know for a fact
that Walmart claims to have an exclusive on EVERYTHING and tries to browbeat
their suppliers into only dealing with them. I guess they are hyping that
FoodTV and Walmart are one in the same company now under the control of the
minions of 'Mr. Sam' Walton (who, like L. Ron Hubbard of Scientology fame,
has been dead for years, but it doesn't stop his minions from still
worshipping him and doing his bidding). Also, double check all those hyped
"made in America" labels, on the back of them is stamped processed in China.

Who is/are "they" "hyping that FoodTV and Walmart ..." do you mean
    Walmart is?

Do you mean Foodnetwork? If not, who/what is FoodTV?

    Thanks.

Thanks for clarifying. But hmmm -- Walmart & Foodnetwork? Well, that
    could explain everything!
