It is prohibited, but you can try it, as not everything is checked and
not every customs officer knows what s/he is doing, but officially no
kind of meat is allowed, so is liable to be confiscated. See

I recently checked with both the USPS (postal service) and US Customs
within in the past couple months - no meat products are allowed to be
shipped by individuals from other countries to persons in the US.

I would write such a description on the customs sticker
on the package, hand it to the postal clerk and see how
they react. If they accept it routinely, probably it
goes all the way to the states.

Is there still an FPO you can mail it from? That may
make it even simpler. (I know they reduced and possibly
renamed that operation.)
