    What emergency equipment do you carry?

    Here are the possibilities I wanted in the poll, unfortunately poll is not multiple choice, so it doesn't realy work... this after a good hour trying to get the right questions. Just copy the text, TAKE THE [quote = peanutjar] out at beginning and end, put an X before the ones that apply, and post your answer.

    EMERGENCY EQUIPMENT - what should every rider carry on a solo ride?
    I am a ROAD rider
    I am a MOUNTAIN/TRAIL rider
    SPARE TUBE or TIRE & TUBE, with LEVERS & PUMP or CO2
    TOOLS or MULTI-TOOL
    TUBE patch kit
    TIRE patches
    FIRST AID supplies
    EMERGENCY BLANKET
    RAG/TOWEL
    MONEY or CREDIT CARD
    I usually ride with others and count on their help in an emergency
    EID/EMERGENCY info (blood type, etc) or ICE CONTACT info
    ENERGY BAR/GEL/MIX etc
    SOMEONE USUALLY KNOWS where/when I'm riding & when I'll return
    I'm willing to carry up to 1 lb (.5kg) of emergency equipment in a normal (non-supported) ride
    The farthest (via shortest route home) that I travel in a "normal" ride is more than 7 mi (10k)

    1-50 mile ride: Spare tube, patch kit, co2 with 2 cannisters, tools, gel, levers, Ibuprophen, cash, cell phone, pepper spray.

    50 mile+ ride: All the above plus an extra tube, additional co2 cannister, debit card.

    mobile phone in plastic bag
    shock pump (sometimes on trail if I want to fiddle with the ride)
    water (not sports drink - leaves your teeth covered with sugar, bad for 'em)

    I am a road rider.

    I carry a spare tube, patch kit, CO2 inflator with extra cartridge, three prong hex key, 2 plastic tire tools, small phillips screwdriver, convertable cable with small nipper, spoke wrench, cell phone, $1.00 in coins and $20+ in smaller denominations, ID/Drivers License, 2 water bottles, and fruit in my jersey pockets. I also keep several spare spokes with nipples in the seat tube.

    I prefer to ride in fairly desolate areas so I either transport my bike to a starting point or ride through the suburban jungle to get to where I like to ride. Average ride is 40 miles, more on the weekends, less in cold weather.

    Road, 50-70 miles from home, a few bucks, a CO2 inflator head, a can or two of Pitstop, a cell phone, and sometimes a spare tubie.

    When did they start having desolation in Ohio?
