I'm still looking for a front flashing light. I have dynamo and battery lights to illuminate the road but none of them have a flashing capability. The Reelights can unfortunately not be fitted to my bike. So, does anyone have experience with the Cateye HL-EL320? (1)

1) I have the Cateye LD1100 rear flasher and it is satisfactory when the batteries are fresh, less so when they are have a some hours on them.

The esteemed Carl Fogel is the premier world authority on this particular light, I suggest you contact him with your worries and nervously pulsing heart.

I think Andre's looking at too modest a light. He should get two car headlights, and wire them so they're always on high beam. Two car taillights can be added to the rear, plus brake lights and side marker lights. Plenty of light!
Power is no problem, because he can get as much as he needs by simply extending two wires forward, in front of his bicycle.

P.S. Oh - did I forget to mention the truck that powers the setup? ;-)

Good thing you did - because if you hadn't mentioned the truck, why, you'd be a liar, right?
(p.s. I called Andre a liar days ago but he hasn't said anything - probably because I was right.)

Nah, that wouldn't be very green. Rechargeable batteries, I think. Some dumb Polack [censored] can run behind my bike carrying the batteries. You fit the job description of an excessively dumb Polack [censored] perfectly, Krygowski.

Too bad that I already caught that immoral scumbag Carl Fogel lying through his teeth for personal gain. I expect, on recent evidence plastered all over this newsgroup, that Fogel will lie about the light as well, just to get back at me for exposing his petty character and his slithery, slimy backstabbing methods.

Personal gain? As in 'Fogel's absconding to Switzerland with his hoard of ill-gotten gains'? Where do I sign up? -- Andrew Muzi www.yellowjersey.org Open every day since 1 April, 1971
Eh? The "paranoiac [you mean 'paranoid'] ravings" you snipped are about a Cateye front light. Do we understand you correctly that you are against bicyclists taking safety precautions after dark? What could your reasons possibly be?
