I am interested in biking to the west coast and back from Michigan this summer. Would anyone care to
join me? I hope to stay with friends, family, and mostly bike friendly strangers along the way. I
have done many week long self-contained trips in the past. If you are interested or have any advice
about such a trip let me know.

Hi Gary, I'm not sure I have anything to offer but I'm also planning a trip. My plans were to go
from Maine to Washington State. How did you decide west to east? Prevailing winds? Also, interested
to know if you've done any interesting reading on the topic and any map advice. Tom
